Seven Counties Services is Hiring a Customer Engagement Specialist Near Louisville, KY

Job Description:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Provides telephone screening for people who call SCS Access System.

2. Determines client eligibility for services and verifies coverage.

3. Maintains and uses written clinical criteria.

4. Assesses callers for emergency risk; performs triage.

5. Schedules and reschedules initial appointments.

6. Documents clients’ presenting problems and demographic data.

7. Enters client information into CMHC Request for Service database.

8. Ensures compliance with Access standards (e.g. routine appointment scheduled within seven days).

9. Consults with team members and other SCS staff regarding clinical situations with specific clients.

10. Provides information about community resources.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Sociology or a Human Services field.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of one year experience in social services, including three months of crisis counseling.
  • Broad knowledge of the mental health field including diagnostic categories, psychotropic medications, and crisis counseling.
  • Strong computer knowledge and skills.
  • Strong communication skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Position has no unusual physical demands.
  • May involve discomforts associated with modestly unpleasant situations.
  • Occasional minor discomforts from the continual use of a video display terminal.
